Delicious to eat, weather on the cob, in salads and soups or as straight vegetable cooked with butter. Pick the cobs when they are young for best flavour.
Harvest time: Late summer
How to grow: For best results, separate the plants and plant in mid spring closer together 25cm (8in) x 25cm (8in) in well-drained soil with plenty of humus in full sun but in a sheltered position. Water well in dry weather. liquid feed when the cobs begin to swell.
