A superb , heavy cropping pea with a great flavour. Needs little support. Freshly picked peas are sweet and a wonderful addition to salads or they may be lightly boiled or steamed.
Harvest time: From early summer onwards as the pods fill
How to grow: Successional sowings from early Spring in a rich, loamy soil which has Been manured in the autumn 8cm (3in) apart in rows. Provide support for the plants, hoe to keep down weeds and water well in dry weather.
