Description
Portuguese Laurel are a fantastic alternative to the more common Cherry Laurel hedging plant. They are an evergreen hedge which grows quickly producing smaller, glossy leaves which grow densely together. The ideal height to maintain a Portuguese Laurel Hedge is about 5m but they can get larger eventually growing up to 15m with a 10m spread.
Growth will appear on red stalks and new leaves will be a tender light green before deepening in colour.
These Laurel are of great height to begin growing your hedge and once established (approximately 1 year) can grow as quickly as 60cm a year.
